HOW TO SEND MONEY
Simple. Just go to your nearest Western Union Agent location, fill in your details and we will take care of the rest for you. With more than 400,0001 Agent locations across the world, we are probably right around the corner in your neighborhood post office, financial services or retail shops.
COMPLETE THE 'TO SEND MONEY' FORM
Cash to Cash Money Transfer: Fill out the 'To Send Money' form provided and show your original valid government-issued photo identification or other supporting documents to the Agent. You can call our Hong Kong hotline at 2117 9088 (for calls within Hong Kong) or +852 2117 9088 (for calls from overseas) for more information.
Direct to Receivers' Bank Account: If you wish to send money to a bank account (currently available when sending money to Indonesia), please fill out the respective 'Direct to Bank' form. The additional information required for each country is as follows:
Direct to Bank in Indonesia- Bank Name
- Bank Account Number
- Bank City
- City Code
- Receiver's Name, Address and Phone Number
If you have a Western Union® Gold Card, you can send money through Western Union by simply presenting the card along with your original valid government-issued photo identification or other supporting documents to the Agent.
PAY FOR YOUR MONEY TRANSFER
Give the Agent the amount of money that you (the Sender) want to send together with the necessary service fees2.
SIGN AND RECEIVE YOUR RECEIPT
You will be required to sign a receipt after you have verified all the details printed on the receipt are correct. One of the details printed on the receipt is your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). You can track the status of your money transfer online with your MTCN.
INFORM YOUR RECEIVER
It is time to contact the intended receiver of your money, and relay the necessary information to him/her, such as your complete name (as signed in the 'To Send Money' form), amount sent, MTCN, and the country the money was sent from.
In the case of Direct to Bank service to Indonesia, the money will be transferred to the receiver's bank account.
TRACK YOUR MONEYGo to the 'Tracking' link on the homepage of our website. You can then track the status of your money by typing in your name (as signed in the 'To Send Money' form) and MTCN.
